Technology has officially reached its peak of new gadgets. Throughout this past year, products such as Smartphones, the Apple Ipad, and even 3D television have been brought to stores near you. Big company corporate officials think new products and inventive ideas every day. So what is next to come for the future’s technology?
Wherever you go now a days, there seems to be a recurring pattern amongst people, their new touch screen Smartphones. More and more people are finding their way into their phone company stores to get themselves new gizmos. Even middle school children have these new fancy phones. Brands like Apple, Blackberry, and Samsung phones are what have become most popular. According to Tmcnet.com, Smartphone purchases have increased from 26% in 2008 to 33% in 2009. So what exactly is a Smartphone? A Smartphone is a phone that lets you add personal features and web/internet access. Smartphones give you the ability to send and receive emails and Office documents. Other phones do not have the same accessories Smartphones have, which is the reason for this increase in Smartphone users.
Next on today’s technology list would be newly released Apple Ipad. The Ipad is Apple’s latest and best selling item. The Ipad was released to stores in the US on April 3 2010. The Ipad is what most call an over sized Ipod touch only with a bigger screen. Apple’s Ipad is pretty much a miniature computer that is used for Internet browsing, games, and other media. Ipad runs through Wi-Fi and also runs Iphone apps. Apple came up with this product after realizing they needed something bigger, and better than their last product. They wanted to create something accessible and fun to play around with that was also more futuristic. It doesn’t have a keyboard, and is a touch screen which is why it has been compared to the Ipod touch. The Ipad is just another example of how advanced today’s technology has become.
Last but not least, Samsung has just recently started selling 3D television for your home. All the 3D TV’s come with 3D glasses needed to get the experience of the TV. Fans were able to purchase this product in early March for an estimated $2,500.00 in the US. According to hometheater3D.com, “3D TV is expected to change the way the world watches TV.” Many would agree that bringing 3D TV into their homes would be an ultimate experience, either bad or good.
With all these new, and improved technologies coming out, it’s hard to say what is next to come. Better and more intelligent ideas are being thought out every day and are yet to be put on paper. It will be exciting to see what is released in the next years.
